Thirteen Pins Tapas and Bar is a 40 seat casual dining restaurant. We pride ourselves in creating a warm, friendly and enticing Tapas Bar atmosphere. The dining room walls are covered in shades of sage, exposed brick, a gorgeous fireplace, and warmly lit candles. There is a long sleek, dimly lit bar for cocktails as well as tall bar tables, an inviting nook, and a modern lounge area along lively Irving Park Road.
Tapas style service means that food is prepared to order and delivered to the table plates at a time. The word “tapas” literally means “lid”, and the origin of the tapas custom most probably lies in the placing of a small plate or lid with a slice of ham or sausage as an appetizer over a glass of wine when served. It became a well-known tradition, the array of items available grew, and today it has become one of the most trendy ways to eat.
